Get Involved

There are many opportunities for people to be involved in the Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta (DSAA).  Everyone with an interest in the organization is welcome to become a member.  In addition, DSAA needs many volunteers (both members and others) to carry out the many events that take place during the year.  Grandparents, extended family members, friends, neighbors, college students, corporate volunteers, anyone who is willing to help is heartedly welcomed into the DSAA community.

DSAA each year needs members to serve on the board as Officers or Directors.  Every event has a committee to plan and carry out the activities and DSAA members and friends are needed to serve on these committees.  Some activities are particularly labor-intense, like the annual Buddy Walk.  For that event alone DSAA uses the help of 75 or more volunteers.  Parent members serve as First Call Ambassadors and Parent Liaisons, reaching out to others.  Professional members assist with conference presentations.  Chaperones help with the Bregman Dance and the Holiday Dance.  Volunteers make the Golf Tournament happen.  Everyone is invited to help with fundraising.  There is an opportunity to serve for anyone who is interested.

We welcome you to become a member and also to volunteer to help the organization work for its members and the community.
