Local Sports Information
 Many children with Down syndrome participate in sports
with typical children through their local recreation department,
church or YMCA. Other programs are available for children with
special needs. These include:
The North Metro Miracle League
The North Metro Miracle League (NMML) is an adapted baseball league for children and adults with disabilities. They have several age brackets and levels of competition. If a player requires some on field assistance he or she will be teamed up with a volunteer "Buddy" to help. The “Buddy Program” is an opportunity for children and adults to interact and share athletic and social experiences. SOGA - Special Olympics Georgia
Their mission is  to provide year-round sports training and
athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for
children and adults with mental retardation, giving them continuing
opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage,
experience joy, and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills
and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics

TOPSoccer
TOPSoccer is a community-based program for young athletes
with special needs. The program is administered by local affiliates
