Fundraising

The Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta (DSAA) is funded through member dues, donations, grants, corporate sponsorships, memorial donations, and proceeds from several fundraising events.  The biggest source of revenue is the annual Buddy Walk ® .  DSAA has sponsored a Golf Tournament -- if anyone is interested in taking the lead in organizing a golf tournament, please contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).   In addition, DSAA has been the recipient of proceeds from the World of Wheels auction each January.

DSAA partners with the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) and holds an annual Buddy Walk ® fundraising event in October, which is National Down Syndrome Month.  The Buddy Walk ® is an opportunity for the Down syndrome community to come together for a morning or afternoon of fun and games, to take a "walk" together, and to raise funds for the organization.  In 2008 & 2009 the DSAA Buddy Walk ® was held at the Duluth Town Square.  The 2010 Buddy Walk ® was held at Marietta Square.  The 2011 DSAA Buddy Walk ® will be in the fall; details to follow.
